In between those stories we drink beverages or do other things with the listeners–we daren’t refer to you as an “audience.” I’m not sure why. There may or may not be small prizes. The readers will receive no prizes, except the immortality of fame. Also maybe a high-five.
It is a good place to hear people read a story.
So, yeah, we are thinking you should come. You don’t have to get up out of your chair for the whole time. Bring a friend or a date or nothing. We want this to be as painless as possible.
Yours truly,
Harris Sockel and Jay Ludlow Martin, your human hosts

Submit A Story
If you would like to submit a story–fact or fiction is fine. 5-10 minutes is a good length. We want it to be funny but recognize that funny is a very expansive term. It doesn’t have to be “haha.” But that’s great if it is. Funny adjacent is also great. You’ll know it when you see it.
This is a reading. You write the story or essay first, somewhere else, maybe at home or in a coffee shop–wherever you like really. Then send it to us by email as a Word attachment: hearhereseries@gmail.com.
Then, if we like it, you come here and read it to everyone.
Not to be dicks but, this is not a memorized storytelling show, an improvisational storytelling show, or a stand-up comedy show. There are other cool shows for that. This is a show for writers to read what they wrote, and, maybe, drink a beverage gift.

“I had this idea for a show,” is what Barbara Walters says at the beginning of the introduction to The View.
